Kvltest black metal scene
This thread is meant to be taken seriously. Moving along....I have listened to black metal for years. I started with the norsk scene. Dimmu Borgir's Stormblast to be exact. I quickly got out of that trendy crap when I found Mayhem. The tales of glory(obscure motorhead reference) I would hear about the Norwegian scene were fascinating to me. I thought many of them to be falsifications. The storys wouldn't all add up. Grishnack killed Euronymous over a record contract/girl/cash/jealousy or was it the fact Varg Vikernes claimed Euronymous was a homosexual. Homosexuality is not accepted in the Kvlt black metal scene. Bands like Darkthrone turned me off with their outhouse style production, but Immortal captured my attention. Immortal has style and class with thier tunes. Not to say Darkthrone isn't kvlt as fuck.
Darkthrone is an aquired taste, with age it gets better. The percussive nature and melodies routinely burned and replaying themselves. Black metal often re-hashses classic themes. The French are the Kvltest I know of. Namely, Les Legiones Noirs. Everything the Les Lesiones Noirs made was gold. Vlad Tepes is supposedly still active, but does not release any material. Often demo's would be released to supply the bands habit of heroin abuse. Not much is known about Les Legions Noires bands.

and they sound pretty kvlt...
and theyre awesome for a new black metal band (started in '98 i think)
seriously scratched my itch for some good black metal

I'm a bit confused. Is this just supposed to be an informative thread to let us know a little more about black metal? Maybe you didn't want any replies, only to get some info out. If so, sorry. I never knew there could be threads that shouldn't have replies -- unless FBS starts one and closes it. Anywho...what's this thread about? 
Hmm...call me stupid, but is it about what black metal scene is the "kvltest"? If so, give a poll.

I started listening to the exact album(DB Stormblast)when I fist started liking black metal.Then,like you started listening to Mayhem,Darkthrone,Immortal,Burzum,Ildjarn,etc.Now I find myself listening to Dimmu Borgir again along with CoF,Satyricon,etc.Its just overall better music.Most of the underground or "kvlt"as you call it bm bands are fucking boring honestly.I can sit down for five minutes with my guitar and write riffs like some of those bands do.
My 2 cents.
EDIT:My favorite scene is probably the polish scene for bans like:
Graveland,Behemoth,Profanum,Veles and many more.

Frost and Blut Aus Nord and Satyricon got me into the BM scene then i went onto Darkthrone, Emperor, Enslaved, Dark Fortress etc...
Hate Forest are my fave tho...
