Audio Interfaces

Okay, I tried searching for some audio interfaces and couldn't find much. I was wondering what audio interfaces some of you are using to record from instrument to computer.

I'm currently have:

Instrument ---> Digitech RP200 ---> Sound Card(mic in)

It sounds like shit, my sound card only gets like 16-bit digital. So I've been looking into an audio interface to beef it up a notch. I've found this one
Heh, mainly I like it cause it's cheap. Also, can I utilize the S/PDIF going from a 1/4" to RCA converter, then going RCA into that card. Also my Digitech RP200 has 1/4' TRS stereo output. Will that work in compliance with S/PDIF? That is Digitech(1/4") ---> Converter(1/4" to RCA) ----> SoundCard(RCA in). Thanks

I use the M Audio MobilePre USB. I got it yesterday and so far its pretty good. Definitely not the best but gets the job done for what I want to do (just catalog riffs and songs for later use). More than worth the $150.

Im going Guitar---->5150 Combo---->Mic---->MobilePre---->PC either into SoundForge or Acid.

Heres the link, if it is the same interface you are looking at im sorry, im at school and the network wont allow me to click on links that open new windows and wont allow right clicking .

Those are pretty nice. I was wanting 24-bit though. If that will really help the sound out much...?

Ego-sys Waveterminal U2A 24 bit USB interface. I love it and it was $140 two or three years ago.

Looks Nice!

But I don't have USB 2.0. I was wanting PCI, will that one work with the older USB technology.
