Vader's name
Ok, this may have been a thread long ago or something, but does anyone know what the word Vader means?
I've noticed there are a few bands from Poland that use the word Vader in thier name, and now I'm wondering if that's some word I don't know the meaning of, or just the ramblings of a bunch of Star Wars fanatics.
Can anyone help me out?

I tried it in an online polish dictionary and nothing came up
i then went to google and typed in "define: vader" and this is exactly what it gave me

Well, I'm form Poland and there's no such word in our language haha. Father in polish is Ojciec [oysiec] or tata or .. there's thousands words:] Like in chineese  I have no idea why they chose that name. I doubt if they have seen Star Wars (btw crap  ) when they set up a band. Maybe they have seen communistic version of it We were isolated form imperial rotteness ( that's what they called all of the western countries) by our "friend" - Ussr. |

Actually before you say they didnt see star wars on the DVD or in some interview they named it Vader in 84 because of Return of the Jedi or one of the star wars that came out that year so bOO yah Biatch

i dont know if it was known that palpatine named him darth vader untill the newest one. back in the 70/80s darth was just the dark figure and not anakin really
