Powerball vs. Savage 120

Hiho.
I was going to buy the Powerball(used), but it's quite rare and sometimes there's a Savage 120 almost the same price..
Any suggestions if the Savage 120 is not as good as the Powerball for that brutal death/metalcore thing?

You can listen to soundclips of the amps at www.rocksolidamps.com. Any Engl you get is gonna kick ass but some models are probably better than others depending on what your into. I know Dimmu Borgir use the Savage and Eric Rutan of Hate Eternal uses an Engl Powerball coupled with a JCM800. I use the Engl Fireball which is perfect for death metal IMO I just wish it was a bit louder but I plan on getting another one and running through both to get 2 different tones. I hope this helps.

I think the Savage does death metal as good as Powerball.

well, I think the powerball is more brutal in tone where the savage is more polished. they're pretty different sounding apart from each other.

doesn't mean the savage is any worse or better but it does sound different, they're both great amps but I'de pick the powerball over the savage for metalcore related stuff.
