This is probobly the most asked drummer question but...how do i do heel toe technique. it seems to me that when i try its very much slower then my normal "running in place method"

there are 2 ways to heel toe: the slide technique and the 'heel toe technique'

the slide technique is a hit with your toes then you slide your toes forward and bring your heel down for the second hit, I can't do this style that well, but can do it at slow speeds.

the other way is you hit down with your heel about an inch from the hinge on your pedals then bring your toes down for the second hit, this style is the on eI can do fairly profeciently currently trying out 2 stroke bass rolls, slowly but surely I can also do the Dennis Chambers ostinato (a triplet like this RRLRRLRRLRRLRRLRRL) using heel toe fairly well (but dennis kicks my ass at that, and everythiing else drum wise too)

the best slidder i ever seen rammed that shit at a diagnal to the right to really plant that second hit<heel> into the base of the pedal, ive been trying to do it for years and cant really get it
