Wow, its tempting... even just to use it as a power amp for my POD (and ENGL preamp when i get it). HC seems to have some mixed reviews as to how good it is, but not many are negative about it.
I'll see if i can find it in a shop first though

I've heard it and wasn't really too impressed with the hi-gain, it was a bit too fuzzy and lacked definition. maybe it can be modded though...
it's basically the same idea as my savage 60, same tube layout, so it might sound badass with sovtek ax7lps's and a pair of JJ el34's.

for the price though, u cant really complain, theres bound to be some dude out there that'll mod it. Anyways if u changed the tubes in it, would it have a major effect or would it just be subtle?

I rather buy a Marshall 3230 Artist or a Sovtek Mig..

Theres one going (without tubes, needs some slight maintenance) on Ebay right now, i was going to bid, but its starting to get too expensive ($65 for the postage!), nearing $250, so im not gonna get it. Just realised i'm only £70 off the £610 i need for my Laney VH100R, so i can wait until friday to order it

Wow that is cheap, I'm thinking a Mesa or Marshall preamp in front of it and we may have something here....

For that price you could snag a used Peavey Classic poweramp off ebay...
hmmm. It would be a nice cheap addition to the rig.....
I think i'll try a Peavey Classic first. Got them nifty resonance/presence controls.

If you check out Vader's "The Beast" DVD, it states that they used the Fallen Angel (300's was it?) in conjuction with the triple rec's.
Just a useful titbit of information!
