slide picking
does anyone know of a band that uses slide picking alot
an example of slide picking is

I know that Steve Vai is a master of the technique. And just about every other technique there is for that matter

i still dont get what you do for slide picking

its similar to what kim is saying, except you use 3 fingers and pick after youve made the slide

does steve vai use that slide thing
in tender surrender only i can play the whole of that and if i can do
it but not realizing im doing it.

When he's playing as fast as he can he does'nt seem to use them that much ( I think Shawn Lane did this alot but I can't be certain ). But in the latest issues of Guitar World, he gave video lessons on how to play "Freak Show Excess" from his latest album, and that's all he did with his left hand was articulate legato phrases by sliding around the neck, and he showed himself to be a master of it.

its pretty much the oposite of the one finger per fret rule, 1 finger 3 frets
