Selling Gear
I m going to sell all my gear and guitars before i go to uni to save some funds and to allow me to get better gear. I m just wondering where i should sell it? is ebay a good option or should i just sell it locally?
The main things i m going to be selling are my boss gt6, an old marshall amp, kramer vanguard guitar, customized starforce strat, an old organ/keyboard thing and any other bits and bobs i ve got lying around. How much should i sell them for? is there any websites with guideline prices or anything?

You might look around for the same stuff being offered on the internet (just use google or so). Check those prices, you'll have about an idea what you could sell them for.
You could also check the newprice and sell them for about 1/2 or 2/3 (perhaps 3/4) of it, depending on the state the object is in.
Personally, I rather sell to people I can meet (so within Belgium) but Ebay is probably not a bad choice when you find no-one else.

for an mg, i doubt you could get $200... they can be had new for like $300 some places. and the resale value is shit... not to mention shipping would be a bitch so you'd have to lower your price to make it worth the extra shipping money.
but that gt6 shouldnt be to hard to sell for a decent price.

Gt 6's aren't realy going high on ebay recently, now that their flooding. Guess everybody want's the 8, and sells the 6. Thats how I got mine..

Anyone got tips on talking down ebay dudes from reserve prices?
I offered a guy $330 for a Jackson RX10D rhoads...think it'll fly? (it's got the lightning decal on it...)

you'd be better off haggling ignorant pawn shop keepers.
people on ebay are trying to get as much out of their items as possible. why end an auction early for less money when you could wait a couple days and make more? that's not what ebay is about.
but then again, i often use the "I HAVE CASH RIGHT NOW" line if i'm really looking for something. and have had the line dropped on me in the right moment. sometimes it works. it just depends on how desparate the seller is.
worst thing that could happen is he'll say no...

Actually id say the worst thing that would happen is the guy reports it to ebay and you get in trouble, since i do beleie they are not sopposed to sell things off of ebay
whoever does report something like that is a fucking knob though

no no no... people can end auctions early and edit their reserve prices. it's their choice.
besides, ebay doesnt police their own shit. they're lazy like that.

haha sorry dude, anyways i m selling my gt6 to a friend of mine for around £240 which i think is a good deal, and i could be swapping my kramer with a local guitar teacher for his 1992 gibson lp lite, , But nothings decided yet. Theres pics of my kramer on metaltabs somewhere, i ll try an upload some new ones.
