MIDI to WAV

does anyone know of or have links to a site with free midi to wav software? everything I have tried so far I have to pay for.

Depending on your soundcard, you may be able to record directly from it's midi synthesizer.

get cooledit or some recording program. check the recording output as "stereo mix" start recording, play the midi file, and when youre done you will have captured it

As Transient explained, make sure the recording device is set to midi (in the OS's mixer or the soundcard's, if it provides one), open any recording app, click on the record button and play your midi file.
