Non-metal songs you'd like to hear covered metal style
Madonna - Like a Prayer (already done pop-punky style by Rufio...pretty good actually)
The Turtles - So Happy Together
Bonnie Tyler - Total Eclipse of the Heart

No More Heroes - The Stranglers
Golden Brown - The Stranglers
Duchess - The Stranglers
The Stranglers rule. I might figure out No More Heroes in the future and post it in the Tab Requests forum. There's some serious neo-classical keyboard play going on in that song that would sound great on guitar. Once again, The Stranglers rule.

I think Norther did a cover of it and managed to make it even cheesier than what it already is, which in itself is a miraculous feat.

My heart will go on by Celine Dion. Would be kinda cool if Hammerfall covered it, cause they've got a good singer.

I actually worked that out not too long ago....all power chords of course....wasnt death metal style but more of a Judas Priest feel to it when I did it.....heh
I also do a good Metal Simpsons theme and there's an 80s techno pop tune called "The Metro" by a band called Berlin....I play an uber wicked Metal version of that.
Also Enjoy taking some Pat Benatar and Metalizing it too.

id like to hear an old thrash band do Rock and Roll- Led Zeppelin, like exodus or Slayer...
or maybe... MARIO!!! death metal version!!! the would kick Uber-ass... closest thing to that was the song from Bill and Ted's Bogus Adventure - Steve Vai
or Nirvana- You Know You're Right... death metal version
Ramones - Blitskrieg Bop... Trash... Anthrax would do it good i think... or Death Angel...

Yea, as johnmansley said, Norther did a cover of it, so did Children Of Bodom- their version is not as good (as Northers) i reckon though

i think any gospel music would be awfully funny if it was done death metal .
but even more deeper would be venom or slayer songs done by contemperary bands.

You must not have heard any of these tribute albums to Slayer, Megadeth, Morbid Angel, etc... that keep coming out. They are all god awful.
I would be amused by a death metal cover of Tigra and Bunny's "Cars That Go Boom" song whatever it's called.

That Berlin song is pretty cool. I usually don't like that kind of music, but that shit is just too god damn catchy. Record yourself and post it somewhere. It would be pretty cool to hear. Or just tab it out if you don't mind.

One of my friends and I did a cover of Britney Spears-Hit me baby one more time. . . It was actually pretty fucking hilarious. Other than that I'd love to see someone cover something metal style like. . . perhaps some Tesla, their tandems weren't bad at all. Maybe even if somebody were able to cover(respectfully) follow the yellow brick road. . . or some Pink Floyd like. . . the wall. . . Korn so fucked Floyd on Another Brick In The Wall and it was so lame because Class of 99 (Tom Morello, Layne Staley, etc) had already done it, then Velvet Revolver did it once I think. Except the VR and Class covers were good, the Korn one sounded way too whiney, I mean Korny.

"Fire" by The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown, done death-metal style by Necrophagist.
""I'm Bored" by Iggy Pop done by Megadeth (Peace Sells lineup)
"Free Jazz" improvisation by Ornette Coleman et al. done by Napalm Death
"Don't Fear The Reaper" by Blue Oyster Cult ( great song!!) done by Death ( think Crystal Mountain- that semi-clean part where Chuck goes "Conjuring power it opoens wide.......stronger than any faith")
I love those songs-they would, I think, sound pretty good!
