Alex Skolnick used Ibanez guitars of some sort (RGT's probably)

Eric Peterson used Gibson Explorers and Les Paul's


I'm not 100% sure, I have a bootleg from the late 1990's of them using these guitars

In the Trial by Fier video , Skolnick uses a 540S. Eric uses a Les Paul. They used Marshall JCM 800's and cabs. Scolnick used a ADA pre-amp I read somewere, in one of his columes back when he wrote for one of the guitar mags.

When I saw them live in London in 2005, Eric used a Dean Cadillac 3 humbuckers, Mesa Boogie (don't know which one it was either dual or triple rec) and Alex used a golden Les Paul through some Marshall JCM 900s, it sounded like he used a preamp too, because it didn't sound completely like a JCM 900.
