The reason way the ships and equipment that the rebals were using in IV, V, VI isn't as advanced is because they can't afford the new stuff. It is all old shit they had to salvage, plus the Empire controls the manufactures. The Empire has new stuff.

Just got back from the theaters. Episode 3 wasn't at all that bad of a movie. But holy shit....it's like every storm tropper on screen was a computer graphic.....

It was a good movie. I liked how they explained Vader's roboticism. But the Qui-Gon thing at the end seemed really random.

Did anybody else think the lightsaber fights were a bit pansy compared to what they were in previous movies?
The other thing that was missing was Windu swearing enough to make a sailor blush during his fight - that would have completed the movie.

The lightsaber fights werent that pansyish. If you want pansyish look at "A New Hope" I watched that after number three and laughed my ass of at obi-wan and darth vader fighting. I cant see how they went from hopping around and doing spinny shit to horrendously simplistic and meaningless.
I was waiting for Windu to pull out a 9mm and say, "The path of the righteous man..." And blast the shit out of Siddius.

Though I love the entire saga...and can watch ANY of the films at any time....I agree.
My opinion is that the newest 3 should have remained in the spirit of the older 3 and not made such a drastic diff in the basic look.
The Obi-Wan Vader saber fight was always fine....UNTIL seeing the newer ones....now I simply chuckle at the massive diff.
But I still love em all...and can look past the glitz required by todays standards compared to the 70-80s films.
JarJar was and will remain the only massive fuckup Lucas did in this series in my opinion.

Fucking idiotic people. Apparently two people tried to pour gasoline into one of those replica lightsabers, and after lighting the fuel, it exploded and they got seriously injured.

A red crystal, his model of saber in the latter episodes is the exact same as Yoda's in Episode II. Many different coloured crystals are used....

There were some Jedi who thought that tapping into a darker use of the force they would then be able to use it to it's full potential. Some Jedi's chose this path and the sith/dark jedi were born but shunned by the at the time Jedi Council. This all happens years & years & years before Episode I.
The real origins of the sith began on a planet called Koriban or something, the people there were natural force users.......

Another thing that brought up a question...do you remember after anakin got chopped up...when darth sidious walked up and touched him on the head? I'm guessing he was numbing the pain or something....anyone have any input on this?
