Exclamation Carcass!!!!!!

Sweet bastard, they really own. I bought "Heartwork" the other day. That has got to be the best death metal album I own. It's so amazing..and it's on my new heavy list as well. Those guys can tear it up!

I haven't heard much of Carcass except for "Heartwork" (which i also own).

Fucking amazing album though......but i've heard it's their best ones...the others aren't that great.

They actually played the video for "Heartwork" on LOUD lastnight... it was the first time I heard Carcass, and I was impressed, to say the least!

Carcass ruled, Heartwork is a great album. Their stuff before Heartwork and Necroticism is waay more grindcore than what they ended up doing. Just dont listen to Swansong.

ALL Carcass albums rule. My personal favourites are "Heartwork" and "Symphonies Of Sickness". Most people love "Necrotcism" though, I think it and "Reek Of Putrefacation" are amazing albums and I also happen to like "Swansong" even if i don't rate it anywhere near as highly as the rest of their albums.

It depends on what you like, Carcass have an album for fans of all types of death metal.

I agree, Swansong is a good album. I was mentioning that in case they were lookin for the more rough-around-the-edges grindcore Carcass to stay away from that one.

All the playground objects were alive, including the swings and the merry-go-round. A silvery-blue arch of plastic color formed and collapsed in the center. A toy little boy, or maybe she was a little girl, jumped along this object, sliding down it, hanging on with small fingers, leaping into the grass. I felt a sense of responsibility begin to resonate within me, both for the knowledge of my wife and my coming child, and the deep psychedelic responsibility of my shamanic-like path. I glanced away briefly and one of the DMT beings, tall, thin and golem-like, grasped my head and turned it back to see. The shapes kept moving, and the child was my innocence too, and it was asking me to promise to share that innocence completely with our shinebelly baby when she/he births and grows and becomes human.

Bill Steer is NOT in God Dethroned.

Bill Steer's projects...

- Napalm Death
- Carcass
- [no name, one demo band with Amott]
- Blacksmith
- Firebird

Witch one did you think of?

BTW, Carcass' every single album was cool... Nevermind that Swansong is not grindcore, either death metal, but it's still great I think.

Haha, that's the truth.

I like all of the albums, by the way, except for the first one which would be "Reek..."I think.

well I think Carcass are mad too. However I prefer Swansong so far, although I've only heard 2 songs off heartwork. Keep on Rotting is a heaps mad song so is Black Star.

Heatwork is great but the songs tend to sound somewhat alike after awhile. I borrowed it and listened to it a few times and foud myself bored. There are a couple really great tracks on thier though. I think if Carcass would have stayed with Grindcore BUT they mixed in alot of the melodic elements from Heartwork, they would have had a very unique and rare sound that not alot of people do.
