I think that lyric is perfect, I can't stand seeing these kids with hteir half inch spike wrist bands and eyliner thinking they are harcore when I have a full forearm gauntlet with 4 inch drywall nails(like 50 of them.) I wear corpse paint sometimes, sport a full beard and have 2 badass metalhead leather jackets. Now before I got seriously devoted to metal just recently(took me 9 years to make the plunge) I had short hair and dressed like a typical drugged out Eugene guitarist. Flannel and jeans or whatever I scraped off the floor.

Now I have long hair, boots, corpse paint(everyone laughs until they see me with it then they get wigged out) spikes and a Dissection backpatch. I feel normal about it now too, if I tryed doing this 2 years ago I would have been a poser, and would have known it. Now that I front a black death metal band I can't not look metal, it just happens. Anyone share similar experiences?

I wanna get me a leather jacket and decorate it, but they are damned expensive, I also wanna get me one of those robe things Al a Abbath in the Blashyrk video but mine will be velvet and custom made and fitted.

About the grimmest and necroist I can get, is my long-sleeve Darkthrone shirt, torn jeans, army boots, and my spike band which has 7x5 rows of spikes, not 20 metre long needles, but still good and sharp. I actually couldn't find it while I was performing curses today though

The pic in my sig was taken about 6 months ago. Hair hasnt gotten cut so it is much longer. I have a myriad of rare black metal shirts, as well as rare 80's Maiden shirts. I need some tattoo's, that will help with my kvlt status. heh

And I could care less if you look emo, my roomates and former bandmates look like psych-rockers(I used to play psychadelic rock, and enjoyed it.) And the other band that is now sharing our rehearsal space and equipment when we let them look like total emo folk. Short black hair, eyeliner, tight jeans, bury your dead and atreyu shirts. Good musicians though.

I always wear some type of button-up shirt (plaid or sometimes solid), jean or jean shorts (depending on the time of year), nike shoes, usually a short (if not bald) haircut, and off and on with the goatee. Too fucking right. I dress for comfort. Trousers, a T-shirt (I have a couple of band ones), some comfy shoes and maybe a hood if I'm cold. Nails do not add to my comfort. I shave my head so that I don't have to spend time on my hair.
Corpse paint would not only take far to long, but it would make me look like a cock. Do you have to reapply every time you get an itchy nose or a sweaty forehead? That's not for me.

Jeans, black t-shirt, (most of the time), some band t-shirts, a Corona shirt and a couple Quiksilver ones. I dont wear baggy pants or super tight ones. Baggy pants look like you're wearing a god damn skirt, and tight pants constrict my gigantic balls. I do have a leather jacket, nothing special about it, no spikes, belts, chains, none of that stuff. I would like to get an actual skull on my shoulder, (not a real human skull, maybe a plastic one), or something, but then I couldn't wear the damn jacket anywhere but concerts. When it comes to shoes, right now I have a couple pairs of Sketchers shoes, and some Adidas sneakers. About the only thing metal about the way I dress are the band shirts that I sometimes wear. And I'm growing my hair.

I wear the tight dark denim jeans that sorta flair over my shoes (which are Fallens), a studded belt, band shirts (Dying Fetus, Exhumed, Opeth, The Black Dahlia Murder, As I Lay Dying, Pink Floyd, Pantera, etc.), I have a Nixon rocker watch and a studded bracelet. Plus I have the long hair that was dyed black about 6 months ago so it's a really crappy dark brown. My gf wants to redye it a add some dark red highlights. I'll dye it back to black but the highlights seems too goth for me.

Spikes are different. I have 6 spikes in the shoulders of one of my leather jackets, the same one that has a Storm Of The Lights Bane backpatch on it. I also wear my nail gauntlet from time to time, because it too, is a bitch to remove after practice.

Corpse paint is cooler than piercings in my opinion, piercings get ripped out in fights. Nail gauntlets only help you out in a fight I would assume, coupled with the corpse paint, hair, boots and leather you wouldn't really have to worry about someone trying to beat your ass. At least in my town I always got so many stares, but also alot of people trying to give me "the nod." That stupid upwards head movement that basically means "whatsup." I'm just headbanging, not nodding at anyone.

I'm trying to think here, my most metal friend ever, who was also my first badass vocalist has 2 feet of hair, is 6'7 and looks metal as fvkk. But, he stopped listening to almost all metal and now just listens to Zappa. Zappa rules though, so I can't deny him the right to enjoy refined music in any form. Maybe he is just tossing aside his 30 years of metal glory for now, just to return later.
