Cheap 5 string, good quality?
Hi, um, I need a 5 string badly, I am very limited with the 4 string now that my skills have grown over these past 3 years. I have taken lessons with the ex bassist of "J. Lo" so I believe that I am worthy of a higher range of Bassativity. I am just a kid so obviously my financial range is bunk, do any exeptional 5 strings for sheaper than 500$ exist?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I doubt your teacher's credibility as a bassist.
With that being said, how much are you willing to spend?

Alright thanks you guys, i'm gonna check out some peaveys at Guitar center later so yeah.
Not that it matters but, I guess when I said he played for J.Lo that didn't really do him justice at all, cuz that's not a big musical accomplishment.

Check out the range of 5-string Ibanez, they make very damn fine basses.

^ Bullshit! Ive got a Peavey BXP grind 5-string and it kicks ass for the cheap price. Plays nice, looks nice, sounds nice, and under 500. So to the topic starter, at least try some out, hell try everything out in your price range.
