Fuck yes! I have been waiting for them to start mass production again. For the last few months you could only get the New 2300 from Moser.

This is going to make getting parts so much easier for me in the future. I like that the price has gone down a little too.

Now I can always get Kahler bridges on my future guitars

As far as i know, the Kahlers only have to have minor routing in comparison to a Floyd Rose. There only has to be a small amount of routing for the mechanism to go into the body.... if that makes sense

That "hole covering" thing sounds interesting, I might just get one for my Ibanez if I save some cash up and find a way to pay overseas.

Is it possible to do the same stuff on a Kahler as you can on a Floyd? I'm looking at the trems on the Kahler site now and I can't understand how they work just from looking at one. Also, are there any disadvantages to having a Kahler over a Floyd?

I think you can't pull them up and they don't have as much range as floyds, don't quote me on that thoug, I'm not sure.

These things are way easier to use then Floyds. They are much smoother and more stable then any other trem I have ever used. They are the only trem that I will ever use if I can help it. I have a 2320 on my Ran.

They can easily be used for lefty guitars too. All you need is the cam with arm holes on both the top and bottom. You can use those hole for even a standard arm, a wrist arm, or a lefty arm.

Look closely at the cam. I can explain what each hole is for if you like, but this is the cam you will need for a lefty guitar.

As for routing, the needed hole under the bridges is smaller than a pickup route. You can have the whole bridge recessed about 3 mm to about 1/8 inch if you want it to have an even lower profile ( I had that done on my Ran ). They can be used on both guitar with and without angled necks too.

I want a few more myself. They are nice looking, feel good, PM better, and pull up and down very, very smooth. They stay in tune very well and they can be adjusted for any type of guitar, neck width, or radius. My only bitch WAS finding replacment parts for a good price. Well now I don't have to worry about that any longer.

People say Kahlers don't have as much range as a Floyd but how much do you need? I have drived my arm to the body and the strings got stuck to the pickups, but as soon as I released it was in perfect tune again. I could pull back to the point I would snap all the strings too if I wanted. What are people doing with Floyd that they need anymore range then that?

Edit: Yes they would fit those guitars.

Would you say there are any disadvantages of having a Kahler, dude? I value your opinion more than most on this topic since you seem to be the only person around here who actually has a guitar with one of these trems on it

Cost and avaibility is the only disadvantage I can think of. Other than that, Kahlers do have all the mild problems that any other trem bridges has, like tuning changes if a string brakes, but that is the nature of any floating bridge. I guess you might be able to drive it to the point the strings slip off the roller saddles but I have never seen that or heard of that happening.

Some people feel that Kahlers have to easy of an action and want a stiffer feel like Floyd... Well that isn't even a issue now cause kahler made tighter springs to replace the normal ones if you want a stiff feel.

You really can't go wrong with any of the 2300 series. You can always replace parts of different materials; brass, steel, aluminum; if you want to change the voicing a bit. All 2300 parts have the same specs but are made of different materials.

I have an old 2320 with brass cam and rollers. It works great for me because it is a bit more smooth and warm toned. I have use ones with steel rollers and cams and they seemed a bit more crisp and bright sounding, but no real major difference. I would use either.

Also keep in mind that steel will rust while brass will not, so if you get steel rollers then keep them well cleaned and oiled.

The one I would like to get is the 2315. It has a brass cam but steel rollers. The best or both worlds. I have always wanted to mix parts like that, but now they construct them mixed and ready to order. I just learned Slayer has been using Kahlers with this mix for years.

I have a kahler in my explorer nowadays. I prefer it over a floyd anyday. Really comfortable for your hand and it looks nicer. But the looks shouldn't be a reason to buy one

The Spyder was nice. I had one on my old Westone years ago. That bridge was awsome That is when I first learned I was going to love Kahler bridges and I haven't looked back since.

Listening to Slayer seem's to lead people to believe they are more than capable to pull up....

The routing is much less than a floyd/strat/wilkinson/edge/zr trem, it's more similar to pickups routing the kahler then being screwed like the pickup bezels on top of the body...it rolls on two ball bearing's, and is smoother allthough i'm sure I heard it doesent have the same downtuning range as a Floyd, am I wrong, tbh the Floyd goes too low much anyways....
