Haven't tried it myself but this is said to be the best, according to xdx and a few others on this forum, ergo; it becomes gospel truth

Most rack gear is going to be far superior to pedal-based equipment, otherwise the price tag wouldn't be justifiable

if xdx says its best, its true. Ive heard from several other people that it is the best too. I cant complain about my NS-2 though, I guess it does take a little tone away, but not real much at all.

nothing wrong with the good ol' ns-2. reliable, well built, doesnt suck tone, flexible... ect.. not the best, but still great.

well, i had a hush super C, not my kind of noise gate.. i preffer the ns-2 over it. and the super C costs twice as much.
imo the two best noise suppressors are:
isp decimator pro rack G
rocktron guitar silencer
both are rack units though...
i'm also gasing to try the mxr custom shop smartgate pro(dual channel rack unit) but it's even more expensive than the decimator and rocktron guitar silencer.
speaking of decimators... i've spotted a decimator pedal on ebay, it's about $21 right now, but sure to increase.

I have a Rocktron Hush Super C on the way. I here it's really good but how much better is it than the Rocktron Hush pedal?

Your personal preference dude; like you said to me in that other thread, 'better' is totally subjective

In my experience most Boss pedal's suck tone... while not that much, they definetly do.
Im pretty sure most will say the best is the ISP Noise Decimator.

everything between you guitar and the speakers "sucks (or 'colors') tone"... i have an ns-2. when it's bypassed i can't hear any audible difference from when it's not in my signal.... and when it's on and i'm playing, no audible difference.
maybe if you have a big string of pedals, then by the time you go through several of them you can hear the degradtion...
but unless you're a full blown audiophile... i'd bet money you couldnt hear much, if any difference at all.

I wasn't getting defensive at all, sorry if you took it that way. Just saying.. most people would agree that the ISP Noise Decimator is the best.

it's more of a "gate" less focused on actual hiss & unwanted noise reduction. i find i'm not a huge fan of gates. when you here about noisesuppressor type pedals "cutting sustain" and such. they're talking about how hard the gate is.
my old rocktron hush super C could get like that.

I would use my pedal in a rack system too. ISP is good.
