Jackson DKMG or DX10DFS with EMG 81/85
Hi Guys,
buying my first guitar hoping to get some advice from you guys. I checked lotta guitars from Ibanez and jackson. For the exact same price I can get an either Jackson DKMG or Jackson DX10DFS with EMG active 81/85. I played both (DX10dfs with stock seymour duncans) to me playability is same (I am just a beginer).
So which one you think will be a better guitar to buy?
I would really appreciate your help.

I'd say DX10, since they're both like the same guitars, but you're getting better pickups on the DX10 right?

yeh silent they are almost same guitars, I actually meant DX10DFS I didnt know that DX10D is a different guitar, differences between DKMG and DX10DFS:
1. Inlays
2. Hardware color (DKMG Black, DX10 Silver)
3. DKMG has the little thinner neck (but I couldnt tell by playing both)
4. plastic binding on DKMG, wood binding on DX10
5. DKMG Rock Maple neck, DX10 maple neck
6. DKMG has Carved Top body which is damn sexy, DX10 has flat body
7. DkMG has Active EMG® TurboCharger®
8. DX10 Seymour Duncan® Firestorm™ Boost Switch. (this wont matter cause I will be getting EMG 81/85)
I think thats about it.

I still say DX10 because those two guitars are really, like the same thing. The HZ's on the DKMG aren't that good, really nothing good about them.

silent I am thinking the same thing, EMG 81/85 supposed to be killer pickups but DKMG has killer looks man.
K13m I played both, feel wise to my hands there is no difference b/w the two, DKMG looks way better though and it has cuts on the corners so last frets are easier to reach.
hard decision

I own a Jackson DKMG and i love it but the only thing about this model is that the volume and tone knob pots suck. They are about the cheapest pots you can get and break over time if you mess with the knobs a lot. Other then that it feels good and plays good. Pickups sound ok, could be better. Hope this helps guy.

dkmg. Anything with bindings are pimpin.
Whoever said woodbinding.. I believe you just mean that there is no binding. Just the fretboard. I've never heard of a wood binding on a fretboard.

If the DX10DFS have the stock Duncan Designed on it,they reaaalllllyyy sucks..I have them on my WarriorXT and I prefer the EMG-HZ on my ESP.
Since you're swapping your pickup for 81/85's, get the guitar you like.

In my experience, the Digitech multiFX products have been poor- to say the least, i'd stay well away from them to be honest. I can't comment on the Zoom products though.

Sorry, but if it's your first guitar then the sound doesn't matter (as you'll sound shit to start off with anyway) - just buy what you think you'll be happier with.
