I saw on another site (an Opeth tribute site), that the members were all going to record a selection of songs (each track separately), and then they were going to send it all to one guy who was gonna mix and master it, and they'd have an album of stuff they'd all done. People put their name forward for what they wanted to do (once the tracklist was sorted), so only 1 person could do 1 piece per track.

Maybe metaltabs could do something similar?

If you go to Chit Chat you'll see that there is a thread planning this sort of thing for a Dimebag tribute, but it hasn't started yet and I believe the planned start date is way over due...
