I need suggestions on what guitar i should buy, i'm going out of town next friday and will be working in the country all summer and i want to take my new guitar with me.

I have exactly $1.500 to spend on a guitar. As i live on a desolate place called Iceland there are not many brands available, i have a choise on these: Gibson, Fender, Ibanez, ESP/LTD, Washburn, Dean, PRS and Godin. I need a metal guitar that can handle cleans too.

Please, shower me with suggestions.

what kind of body shape do u want? how many fret? esp make some standard models which are pretty good like the mii and some lp ripoffs which are good. Ibanez have some shit hot prestige series guitars like the ibanez s. Theres so many guitars, just go for what you feel comfortable playing with and stuff

I'm about to get a ran. I still need to order it though. I was suppose to buy some nice rack stuff for the money. But I liked the idea of getting a kick-ass ran better

you could order from www.music123.com or www.musiciansfriend.com or something through www.shopusa.is If you're buying an expensive guitar it's much cheaper than buying here. Only flaws are you can't try out the spesific guitar you want to buy, and there is no warranty.
I tryed out a Gibson Explorer the other day, it was the best guitar I've ever layed my hands on! Only downside is that it doesn't have a floyd.

Get a floyd installed. I have an esp explorer and it had a tune o matic. Now it has a kahler installed. they had to route the whole thing out and it cost me 220 euro's

Thanks for all the replys, i'm checking out a Ibanez RG3120F and a Gibson Explorer tomorrow. I just need durability and good metal/clean sound, regardless the shape, name or whatever ;P Am currently playing a Crappyphone SG and it suck so much it shoud be illegal, i need something to fill the void till i buy a Jackson SL2H!

Edit: Oh yeah, its a pope hat replica... It will be shipped to those who replied in about... never.
