Help with Mutli Effect Pedals
Hey, I got a Boss GT-6 while I still had a crappy combo amp. With it I mainly used the patches it came with (made 1 or 2 of my own). Now I have a Marshall 1/2 stack and I love the tone on it, I want to find the right way to hook it up and use just single effects (mainly delay, wah, and maybe chorus). Whenever I try it seems the sound gets all messed up with a lot of the other effects and stuff trying to get in the way. I don't know, I haven't learned too much about setting up rigs yet =). But here's what I have:
Jackson Kelly w/ EMG 81/85
Boss GT-6
Marshall TSL60 / MG412 cab (had to save money somewhere)

Manual page 56 sounds like the kind of thing you're after, just put it in manual mode, and assign each effect to a separate pedal

have you tried the 4 cable method? If you didn't, check around on www.bossgtcentral.com and if you have any questions, ask on their forum.

bypass all the amp modeling and eq'ing stuff... throw the gt6 in the fx loop or before the amp...
then you're just using it for fx.
i also think the gt6 does channel switching on amps correct?

thats wat i was gonna suggest, it is a good method to get the gt6 sounded better with half stacks

It has midi in's and out's. I have absolutly no expierence with that tough

I have Into Eternity's first CD ... the sticked said sounded like Opeth, needless to say I was sorely dissappointed. They're nothing special. I don't like the vocals.

MIDI (in this context) will enable you to control other devices (that have MIDI, or course) via the pedal, you won't create new tones or effects from it. It is very useful/necessary if you have a lot of rack kit, as you can have a floorboard to control all of it relatively easily. |

Think of it this way, you could use your gt-6 to turn rakcboard stuff on/off, or maybe have a floorboard that with the press of one pedal, changes stuff on your gt-6 AND your amp and whatnot.
