Tool are about the only non metal band I subscribe to. Also White Zombie. Other than that I download some pop tracks or rocks tracks whenever something good strikes me on the radio

Nothing specific in terms of bands, but if you're talking about genres that's not metal, I like jazz (old skool style, none of this new-age jazz shit.), blues-rock (love Stevie Ray), classical, and like European acoustic folk guitar type stuff.

aside from metal, for the purpose of generalization, my favorite genre's are ska, punk, emo, and alt-rock. i like modest mouse, my chemical romance, brand new, the get-up kids, jimmy eat world, sublime, and the list goes on. not the most impressive shit, music wise, all failry simple guitar work, but damn if they cant write great songs that stick with you.

i also can get into: classic jazz, esp. miles davis; old school rap(late 80's, early 90's); classical music, esp. from the romantic era on; and new wave.
