esp vs.........
Hey, i'm looking at getting an esp mh-1000, with the see-through black cherry, it's their deluxe series. I refuse to get anything with emg's based on the simple fact that no matter what guitar you get and throw em in they all sound the same, also I don't think they really give you that low end crunch. Anyways, is there anyother suggestions for a hard-tail guitar with passive pickups in about the $700 to $1000 price range that anyone has had a good experience with, also, i really like the strat type body, no rounded les pauls for me

ya, why ibaqueer "ibanez", what makes them bad to deserve a name like that, also, i kinda looked at the rga121, it was alright, looked gorgeous with the raised maple top in the violin finish, think i like the playability of the esp more though, plus its got some decent duncans in it.

Get yourself a Gibson Explorer. I played the Epiphone one, and it plays like a dream. I have honestly never played a guitar with such great playability. That's an Epiphone, so imagine what a Gibson must be like. Not a strat type body, but shitloads of sustain, excellent playability, and great sound.
Also, for about a grand, shouldn't you be able to get yourself a custom Ran?

How about a Jackson SLSMG? Equal, if not better than the mh-1000. Plus they go on ebay for about $500. If you want a new one they are about $700.

yea I played a Gibson Explorer the other day and it was the fucking sweetest guitar I've ever played also looked awsome, creamy white. Only thing I didn't like was that it didn't have a floyd

Ibanez RG2620 is a good guitar. Throw some Duncans or DiMarzios in there and your good to go. I actually put EMG's in but that was because it was a good price and I like the sound.

i think i'm just going to go with the esp. i really like the way it looks and feels, i might like the way the jackson plays by about " " that much, but again, it has emgs.
also everyone keeps talking about these ran guitars, does everyone just trust the playability before they even set their fingers on it? I need to see and hold it before i buy.

What about the MH 1000 with duncans?
It's in STBC which is a red black trans finish very nice on quilts.

well, thanx for all the input, i think i am going to go ahead and get the mh-1000 with stbc. but, i did find an older h-1000 with the flame stbc instead of the quilt though, i think it is the same guitar other than that. I assume it is older, maybe a year, cause i can't find any stbc for h-1000's now.
