So what are your thoughts on C.D? i bought their new album (Humanure) and like it. Are they Tech Death? they are'nt actually that technical, compared to other bands of that genre, and also cause they have on guitarist only. but that shouldnt matter, do you guys like em? i noticed there are hardly any tabs for them, which is rather disapointing. Their stuff sounds like fun to play.

I dont like them. Its grindcore, not tech death. They only have 1 vocalist also. Not a fan.

All death metalers consider them grind. I grind heads consider them death. They are not liked by either. Though they have their own little niech.

sounds way too smooth to be Grindcore...i.e songs packed with fucking tremolo riffs abroad. But whatever, despite their label (not necessarily looking down on Grindcore) they're still ok

I hate that fucking band,granted all I have heard is like four or five songs.

I got into Cattle Decapitation only because I thought it was like Pig Destroyer with deeper vocals (high-pitched screaming being the thing that makes Pig Destroyer suck). The vocals are quite low and death-style (which I like), while the music itself revolves more around a grindcore feel. But the one thing that turned me off was that I think the guitarist tunes to standard. He may come up with cool riffs, but they sound so gay to me when played at a higher pitch. Of course, I'm not a numetal fuckass that thinks you should tune really low in order to make it good, but I find with both grindcore and death metal that lower tunings fit better than the higher ones. Other than that, they're alright.

I actually prefer Higher tuned guitars, and that's actually one of the things that struck me with CatDec.

Travis Ryan is an awesome vocalist IMO, even though he doubles his vocals. I just can't stand much of their music, mainly the drums. If I ever se them live, I hope his snare breaks or something along those lines.

I like them. I only got their first album To Serve Man. I thought it was OK but some of the songs sound WAY too similar and stuff. But that's just me. I forget were I saw this but I think this statement sums up what Cattle Decapitation is: The bastard child of Carcass and Cannibal Corpse. With the guttral, sick, double vocaled monsters that are Carcass and the speed and technical aspects of Cannibal Corpse.

Although I don't really consider them technical. I like them though. Still one of my favourite bands.

Comparing Carcass to CD is a sin. Grandted I like Cattle when i first heard them but it got old REALLY REALLY fast. The only thing Cannibal Corpse and Cattle have in common is they both suck.
