I should have some Cannibal,Vader and Decapitated on there using the Powerball. I'll have to check cause my site crashed a couple times and I had no backup and lost some files. If I still have them I'll get them up again. I'm getting ready to add some new Cannibal,Malevolent and Hate Eternal clip's and I'll be sure to use a Powerball for some of them.

by the way, Derek, do you know if they ever sold the Savage 60 outside of europe? I've got one and they seem pretty rare, even over here!

Those were discontinued before I became a dealer 2.5 years ago and I'm not sure if any made it over here or not I have never heard of anyone talking about owning one either here in the USA so my guess is that they were probably made in a short run or something.

yeah, they where replaced with the fireball though the savage 60 has better options and tone (IMO), great recording outs, powertube and fuse monitoring with leds (on the back panel, unlike the powerball that has the powertube leds on the front)

and it had 4 usable channels instead of 2 (lo-hi gain cleans, lo-hi gain leads)

here's a pic of mine, I equipped it with JJ el34's and sovtek ax7lps's

notice the size of the head! (it's a lot smaller then the usual heads)

Whoa!! EL 34's in a Savage is that the way it came stock? I've alway's wanted to hear what a Savage would sound like with EL-34's. I use Ruby EL 34 BSTR's in my SE Head and it's amazing sounding.

I was going to be the official Engl distibutor in the USA last year but due to some changes and drastically low US dollar things are still up in the air at this point. As it stands now I'm the #1 dealer out of about 6-7 others and the only Engl dealer in the USA that has cab's and combo's cause due to flight restrictions with magnetic's they can't not be sent by air to the USA anymore and have to go by ocean ship to get here and you have a to order a mighty large quantity. Hopefully it will still happen in the future.My fingers are crossed.

Im getting a powerball as a graduation present and im selling my dual recto so im thinkin about an engl xxl cab. Whats the consesnus on these ?

they sound great, I think they're pretty damn expensive for what you get but it's the same with every boutique amp and cab, you just pay your ass of for tone.

the Engl v60 cabs sound good and solid but a bit too dark for my taste. the Engl v30 cabs sound a lot better in my opinion, definetly worth the extra cash. more midrange punch and a bit more brighter sounding.

I only played an XXL cab once and the idea is the same as the oversized recto cabs, it sounds more projected and seems to pack more punch. I haven't played it at 'high' volumes though but I'm sure Derek can tell you more about them. For all I could tell it sounded even better then the standard Engl v30 cab.

there's loads of good cabs though, the Bogner Ubercab, VHT cabs, Diezel (!) cabs, you name it. If I where you I'de get out and try as many as possible, cabinets make way more difference to your tone then most people think!!
