+1. i'm not a fan of gibsons, but gibsons are the shit when compared to epiphones which are just plain shit. the $3500 one is delicious though. very delicious.

Out of these I'd get the $900 one, but if it were me I'd get a Gibson Explorer, a white one, played one of those the other day and I fell in love also looks fucking awsome, but doesn't have a floyd
I'd try to get a white V, white is a much more beutiful color on guitars imo than black.

I'm sure it's quality isn't that much worse to the point that it would really affect the tone or it's playability. It's like the ESP's and the LTD's, a DV8 has better build quality than a DV8-R, but the DV8-R is a damn nice guitar, and it's almost the same guitar. I'm not too sure about these Gibsons though.

it can, some colors were made in very few numbers striaght from the shop without being a custom job
the only one i can think of right now was a surfer blue or something similar that was extremly rare back then

Look at the info on the pickups on the last two....999.00 Gibson & the 349.00 Epiphone.
What are they saying there? (im not a tech head) What does ceramic do that non cermanic doesnt do? If one isnt ceramic....then what is it?
Also....what's the diff with types of neck attachments?
Thanks.

Buy a used Les Paul special from the 60's.. they can be had for around $1000 and they play and sound much better than those piece's of shit.

ceramic the type of magnet. I think they're more powerful or something. not 100% on all this.
but about neck joints I believe you talking on "neck attatchments"
theres bolt on - bolted on. only losers dont like these guitars because "OMG DEY R NOT NEKK THRU'ZZZ"
set neck - these V's are set neck. most (if not all) gibsons are set neck. set necks are sorta.. similar to bolt on ( in the sense of routing a neck pocket and the neck being seperate) BUT they are glued in. I dont really like the feel of set necks
neck thru. take a neck thru blank http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Bodies,...uitar_Neck.html add wings and you have a guitar. good fret access, 'better' sustain.
set thru- cross between neck thru and set neck built like this. http://www.mcnaughtguitars.com/0104m.jpg More similar to neck thru, but I've noticed that set thru guitars seem to have a bulkier heel. might just be the guitars I've played though..
hope that clears stuff up.

You are correct sir... They are "rare earth" type magnets which are stronger and more resistant to demagnetization.
