anyone got tips on how to learn to play and sing at same time? its hard as fudge!!!!!  |

First of all, fudge is only hard if you refrigerate it. On the contrary, fucks can be really hard.
The best way to go about your problem is one of two ways (whichever suits you best): 1. Learn to play the bass well enough that you only have to put your mind to singing; 2. Learn the lyrics and how to sing well enough that you only have to put your mind to playing the bass. |

I don't play bass, but I can give you some tips:
+ Learn the bass part for your song. Do it so you can play it completely without even looking or thinking about it.
+ Practice singing the song whilst playing the bass at slow tempo (to get the rythm and "hang" of thigs), eventually working up to normal tempo.
Above all, practice!

try writing (or covering) songs where the vocal parts are with easy, rhythmic bass parts. when i play songs by bands like darkthrone (im a guitarist), i can handle vocals and guitars at the same time because they're just simple tremolo picked power chord riffs mostly, bass is even easier as it's just some single notes. so you can have technical bass, but like i said, try making the vocals with easy parts.
how muhammed suicmez can play like that and sing at the same time is ungodly. don't attempt that yet  |

HAHA, those're so true...and yea, try to memorize the song before you do anything. Playing like shit and having awesome vocals doesn't go hand-in-hand.

I've done it before, it takes a little bit of practice but it's not that hard, it's probably alot harder with guitar though.

Practice...I've recently started writing songs and I have found that I can sing those and play at the same time only because of lots of practice actually trying to.
