hi there..what is the best settings for your metal zone pedal??? i know you can use that pedal for diferents styles of music so i thought maybe you guys can post here your (knobs) Metal zone settings......thanks...

from a 1 to 10 scale (5 is straight up)
gain :10
high :6
mid :10
low :5
freq :between 2 and 4 (i change that often)
anyway thats what works for me, but it depends on the amp how it sounds

If you bothered to search you would find out that people basically fuck with the knobs until they like the sound. It's not exactly a complicated pedal and it all depends on the rest of your gear and your personal preferences.
As a newb myself, I strongly suggest you don't talk shit to people like Younguitarist. He rocks... If you don't search first, you will get slammed every time. Save your outbursts of anger for irritating newbs like IRON90.

Most of the time, a Metalzone totally scooped will produce some disasterous results at very high volumes ( and I mean volume high enough to keep up with an acoustic double-bass drummer who plays vociferously to begin with ). I actually like to lower my mids when I'm playing by myself, but in the context of a band, muddiness is almost inevitable if you have all of your mids on flat zero. |

That's exactly what I mean. I remember thinking, "Yeah, I'm going to turn my amplifier to 50% volume to match the drummer" with scooped mids, and hearing my low open root 5th chord become a giant unintelligible "THUD". It sounds great at low volumes, when you turn up you just need to factor in enough mids to cut through and become audible. |

Mid frequencies are detected by the ear alot easier at low volumes than lows and highs, which is why b10m0t10 settings sound okay at low volumes. Also, the 'loud' or 'xbass' presets you find on car stereos boost the lows and highs, whilst cutting the mids for the same reason; if you aren't cranking your system and want to hear all the frequencies, you're gonna have to boost and cut some stuff to get it sounding more palatable

kinda off topic at this point, but anyway, here goes. I don't think the thread starter's grammar is necessarily result of low intellect, he may just be foreighn to the English language, and trying his best. not saying that his grammar doesn't suck ass, but I thinik it sucks way too much for someone to whom English is the first language.
On topic now. I don't know the exact numbers of my MZ settings, I just kinda eyeball it from memory of what I used last time I sounded good.
I don't usually play at very high volumes, because I there are usually people in the house when I'm playing. I do crank it up every now and then, though, just for good measure.
Here's a pic of what my settings look like from memory. This is not an actual photo of my pedal, it is Photoshopped, (poorly), and I don't have access to my pedal now to help refresh my memory, as my brother is sleeping in my room tonight. But, anyway, with my settings, I get a sound pretty close to Dimebag's on Vulgar Display of Power. Real dirty, crunchy, heavy fucking shit, great for rhytm playing, and okay for leads. Probably could do better for leads, it squals a little too much for my taste when I play leads at these settings.
