I rarely see this amp mentioned on the gear forums, im thinking about buying the 112 combo. i heard this amp can get pretty hard and heavey while maintaining a decent clean channel. Pretty much my question is, does anyone have one of these amps and how satisfied are you with your purchase? Used i can get one of these bad boys for like $500 would anyone recommend me a better amp for the same price or stick with a XXX.
My sound im trying to achieve is Deathcore, Metalcore, Death. And i also like to play some clean opeth stuff on the clean channel too. THX!!

I have the 60 watt version..It kicks ass and I'm satisfied with it. I bought it used. The clean channel is decent,although I don't use it a lot.

the Peavy XXX Ultra Tube Head sounds fuckin amazing!!!!!!!! I tried one out today, fuckin awesome tone!!! very crunchy. Terrance from SUFFOCATION uses one with a Boss Noise Suppressor and Vader Cabs. THATS IT and his tone is the best

If you can get it for a decent price, I suggest you buy it. All the XXX combos I've played through performed wonderfully.
