Well. I don't know anything about rack gear etc. But I have money at the moment and I'm willing to experiment. So I wanna try a rack gear based guitar "system". But what do I need for a good rack ? if I wan't to play death metal like dying fetus for example. And what are good brands ? Sorry if this is a stupid thread but any help is apreciated ?

Well both Nice amp stuff is at the top of my list, but some nice effects are cool too. I'll go to a guitar store and check the rocktron intelliflex for the fx out

You thinking rackmount amps too? If I was interested in that then I'd want to try out the Mesa rackmountable amps

are you looking for a complex rig or a basic rig? i mean, you could just go with a preamp and a poweramp.. which is the same thing as a head really.. you could also throw in accessories, i.e. power conditioner, tuner, fx, eq's, ect.

DO remind that a intyelifex at a store is probaly gonna be around 500 euros , try looking for a second hand one, look at some sites (marktplaats and stuff like that).

I want some more than a basic rig. I want eq,fx and tuner and that kind of equipment. I don't want an uber complex rig if you know what I mean. It's sort of an experiment for me and I want a really awesome tone. I just got rich and I could spend like 3000 euro's

ummm... ok... what is it exactly that you need to know?

basically you should get a good preamp and a good poweramp for starters... then build around that. a quality power conditioner is a must imo. and a decent tuner is always handy. then if you want some good fx. shop around for quality rack fx units. and if you want external eq'ing and coloration. check out parametic and graphic eq's as well as sonic enhancers(i.e. aphex aural exciter, bbe sonic mazimizer). you could always grab a rack noise gate.

it's pretty easy to figure out, you just kinda have to dive in and hold on.

A) My powerball is sacred

B) What I'm basicly looking for is some good brands. "cause i know shit about rack gear and the guy who sells it to me can make me believe anything. And how stupid this sound. But they won't let you try out rack stuff. I don't know if that's normal or not.

no I'm not counting the basement. Than my room would at the 4th floor
here in holland you have what we call drive-in homes. wich means you livingroom is basicly on top of your garage it goes like this. You walk in the door or garagedoor.you'll have an hallway you can go a stair down into the basement. And you can go a stair up. you we'll be in the livingroom.and another hallway. Then you can go another stair up and you end up at the bedrooms and another hallway

hopes this makes any sense. I'm dutch my english isn't that good

your room must not be very big... i mean a powerball is like what? a couple feet wide, a foot tall? ect... and a cab... i mean, do you sleep in a fucking closet? you wouldnt even need a square meter of space.

you could always buy a longer cord.

I said I had a small-ass room -_- My room is as it is very crowded. I have too much shit. Believe me I have no room for the amp an a cab in my room. And even if I had the room i don't wanna make the neighbours mad. Or my parents
