In which songs might I find bass solos with tapping? I've really had a lot of difficulty finding them, and all I found were some basslines that could be tapped(with both hands) instead of normally plucked.

loads of john myung (dream theather)stuff. its pretty hard to tap decently on a bass, it's hard work and with a thick gauge its even more difficult.

John Alderete from Racer X taps alot, especially in the song Scarified.

Try finding some Stu hamm stuff, he does some tapping in 'Quahogs Anyone?' its a big bass solo, if you cant find it, then pm me and ill add you on messenger and send you some tapping stuff.

I can't believe noone has mentioned Victor Wooten!!!!!!!! If you want to check out mediocre stuff, stick to Billy Sheehan...but if you want to hear tapping that'll leave you comatose for a week, listen to Victor Wooten's "Me and My Bass Guitar" He plays it all on a 4-string bass, and you'd swear you were listening to many many different tracks, but it's all one track.

And what about Alex Webster of Cannibal Corpse??? Listen to the intro for Hammer Smash Face (after the initial guitar riff, that is...) for some nice 2-handed tapping. No where near as complicated as Victor's stuff...but still nice.

Very true...I'd forgotten about "Norweigan Wood" Pretty well any song he does he seems to throw in some form of tapping. Hopefully, if I practice for another 147 years, forgo work, sleep and eating, I can get to be 1/2 as good as Victor. lol

Okay, I tabbed out the 2-handed tapping thing that I do on the end of Heaven's Advocate. You can hear how it sounds if you go the "post YOUR band" post and look for my post with the link to the song. I'm using a 6-string bass, so I'm playing this over the A D G C strings, but you can use the E A D G on a 4 or 5 string bass, just transpose everything up 5 frets (or 2 frets if you are tuning to A440, as the actual tuning on my bass is, from low to high, G#-B-F#-B-E-A). I play this in a 6/4 time with a triplet feel. When you reach the end of the second bar, repeat the whole thing once.
