whats two handed tapping i mean obviously its with both hands but is there a way of doing it.its just i saw eddie v halen do it and ive heard of the technique i just dont get it;

Assuming you are right handed, you fret as usual with your left hand and then fret (or tap) another fret with your middle finger (or index if you are Van Halen) of your right hand. EX: play the 12th fret on the 1st string, hammer on the 15th fret on the same string, and then with your right hand tap the 18th fret. It should sound like three seperate notes. Sorry If I'm just more confusing.

Technically, that is two hand tapping

But really you have two use at least four fingers. What Dan described is just normal tapping. Try figuring out some stuff using two or three fingers of your fretting hand and two fingers of you're picking hand.

dont forget when you've tapped the fret you want to tap, make sure you remove your finger in a sortof 'flicking off to the right' (or left if your left handed) motion to sound the lower note, just like you would in a pull off.

i think a good song to learn two hand tapping is the second solo to "one" by metallica - the tapping is very even and is easy to pick up after a few goes.

has anyone seen some one do 8 finger tapping before? who did it? what song?
