sanding neck??
i have a jackson warrio usa with an unfinished neck.
on then care & maintenance card i got twith my axe they say:
quote: unfinished jackson necks may be periodically cleaned by gently sanding with a 600 grit wet/dry paper or a 000 grade steelwool :quote end
but i dont feel intirely comfortable with doing that to my lots of euro axe
but on the other hand, my neck is getting kinda dirty and sticky and stuff (dont use imagination 2 far)
so anyone tips, experience, advice, random bullshit????
lemme know

Wipe some tung oil on it.. get some sort of finish on it.
If thats a Neck-Through guitar then dont take chances.

No worries about it. Get very fine steel wool and rub it down. Thats how you clean a fretboard with accumulated dirt too. You dont do any damnage, I personally like the steel wool over the sandpaper. But you don't need to worry.

How do you like the 5150 half stack you got there compaired to the Marshalls? I am looking to buy a half stack but can't afford much.

The mg thats sitting on top of my bass amp was my first real head and i wouldnt recomend anyone buying one, they suck. I use the marshall and peavey together cause they support each other really well. What one amp lacks the other fills in. The 5150 has alot more gain and is more brutal of an amp. THe marshall is good at everything (clean and overdrive) but just doesnt sound as mean. If i had to pick just one for playing metal i would pick the 5150. If i was going to play strictly rock and blues id pick the marshall. Hope this helps. Thanks to all who commented on my gear!

Yea i love my explorer. Think i paid $1200 for it. It was the last one in california so i was lucky to get it. Not sure why people on this board talk alot of shit about the voodoo series. I love the sound characteristics of swamp ash, and havent had any problems with it.
