Westone!
I have a Westone guitar here that my father gave me about 13-15 years ago and he has had it for a few years, etc and I have never heard of this brand before. He said that a long time ago he brought it to guitar center and they said it was a pretty good guitar and up in the 1,000 (U.S.) dollar range or so. Does anyone have ANY information on this guitar and if these are any good? Like I said, I have never heard of it and neither has anyone else I have asked. I am going to start getting back into guitar a lot more and start learning some metal now (all I normally play is old rock and jam with some older guys etc). I have been focusing on drums so much that I haven't played guitar enough and have forgotten a lot of my theory and things like that.
Thanks a lot for any info on this.

If so then sorry, I just saw the guitar zone and thought I have a guitar here that I don't know about so put it here. I would think gear is meaning something like drum sticks, pedals, amps, etc.

my old guitar teacher had a westone bass, it was pretty old but sounded great and it played pretty nice too.
I have no idea how their guitars are, you got some pics of it?

The first electric guitar I bought was a Westone. It was used and I payed $150 for it. It was in great shape and looking back it was a shred machine. 24 frets, Kahler Spider bridge, H/S/H pups, blood red with black binding I actually miss it. I have been looking for years for that model of Westone but it was one of the rare ones. One day I will own one again.

I don't have pics of it right now but can get some this week definetely. It is a Westone Spectrum LX and all the hardware and all is black, it's a blood red with a little metallic looking flake in a way. It's a sweet ass looking guitar though. 22 frets though as well, kind of would like to have 24 but oh well. It has two humbuckers (single pickups together near bridge and neck and then one single one in the middle). Sorry I don't know what you would call that, like I may have said, I haven't played guitar in a long time now much or gotten into it and have forgotten a lot. I really need to get back into playing, but my only problem is that I don't know much metal. Yeah I may listen to some death metal, some melodic metal, etc but all I can play is old rock shit and jam with old guys and pick out like hell to jazz and old rock stuff. I would like to get better and learn to play more.
But yeah maybe I might change the pickups if I find out they aren't too great or not. Other than that I love it. I had one friend play it and he didn't like it, he thought the fretboard was uncomfortable and a little too wide but I don't think so but I am used to it so who knows.

Check this shit out... I got all this info off Google.
http://www.harmony-central.com/Guit...trum_LX-01.html
Looks to be a good guitar. I am afraid to change the humbuckers to something like EMG or such, what do you guys think, would it ruin it meaning losing value, etc?

There is some more interesting info.
Oh also like I said before, I will get some pics this week if I have time. Mine has NO scratches or nothing. There is only ONE little tiny ding that you can only see if you shine a lot of light on it and actually try looking for it. The paint or whatever on top is so thick and dark you can't see nothing on these things. Also, see what they said about the neck about the material the guy heard it may be made of?
