Darkthrone-Under a Funeral Moon

Yah I KNOW there's a ton ton ton of threads on general screaming/ growling. But I'm looking to figure out what he did to get that kind of vocals on the under a funeral moon cd. I think he used some equipment because it sounds pretty different from his singing on other darkthrone albums. But to me it's so dark and fucking awsome that I've been wanting to do a cover song from something on this cd for a while. Anyone know what kind of vocal equipment or specialized black metal singing techniques will give the normal black metal vocalist that kind of....Darkthrone dreariness.
