Tuining DOWN on a Floyd Rose

Im the proud owner of an Ibanez RG370DX.

What pisses me off is that I cant tune down on my guitar without having the tremelo sink completely.

I can only tune it to DADGBe and EADGBe.

Id like to tune it to D, C etc but cant.

If I do end up tuning it to Db Gb B E Ab db the tremelo sinks and all u hear is clutter on the strings.

Any advice on how I could have it tuned to that getting good results on sound and not having the shit sink in?

Its a floating floyd rose, Edge Pro II tremelo system.

Thanks
-/Gamma

gah didnt mean drop tuning, meant tuning down to D, C, etc.

Im already on .10s, thicker strings will be a bit harder for me to play on.

Welcome to the world of floyd roses.
they cant handle tuning changes. so basically, if you want to tune lower than it currently is, you will have to re-set it up with thicker strings.

get thicker strings then, and then adjust the springs.

haha

yo i have the exact same guitar. Open up the back and loosen up the springs if you want to keep the whammy bar active. If you want easy down tuning, tighten the springs as far as they will go to lock down the bridge, and then it will tune to anything.

If you put thicker strings on and lower the tuning it wont affect the tension too much so it wont be harder to play.

When I tune down to b-flat i only use two springs and loosen the screws in the back. You just gotta mess with it till you get it floating the way you like.

The screws in the back, should they be individually adjusted depending on the height of either side of the bridge, or should they be like level and equal with each other?

i keep them at the same leven, exept if 1 side of the whammybar is raised or sinked more (wich will hardly ever happen) maybe when u use heavy bottom slinky top stringsets but ive never played those so i cant tell ya.

but just even em out so that the bridge is paralel to the body
