Wiring question

I just got an ibanez rg550ltd off of ebay and the stock pickups suck pretty bad. Im going to replace them but i have a question about the single coil, im going to get a dimazio hs2 and it is stacked. Basically in positions 2 and 4 am i going to have to wire it to only use one coil like the neck and bridge hums do and can it even do that. If so how the hell would i wire that into the selector. I found a diagram for what it looks like now on the ibanez website http://www.ibanez.com/wiring/wire.asp?y=1994&w=RG550LTD . Thanks.

I would guess that the switch is a standard three pickup switch that is meant to handle three humbuckers. Try hooking the second coil to the unused connection on the switch and see what happens.

Yeah, I didn't mean standard like a light switch. I meant standard for a three pickup guitar. I am suggesting that it is able to handle anywhere from three single coils to three humbuckers and all combinations in between. The fact that there is exactly one unused contact on the diagram for his guitar leads me to believe that it is for the option of a third humbucker.

Its not a standard 3 way switch, its a 5 way switch. Not like a strat switch though.
