Megadeth Song Meanings
There is one song off the new album that i swear is taken out of the movie "Excalibur". Like every line thats in the song is in the movie. I was wondering what the other songs mean?
Example:
Shadow of Deth - The System has failed = "Excalibur" the movie
name some more???

I looked at the booklet and it said all lyrics by Mustaine except for Shadow of Deth which was taken out of a Bible Verse or something.

That song is like a ancient Roman warrior Bible prayer. I think it could be very well used in a lot of movies and songs.

It's the Lord's Prayer.
He's Christian, and he tied it into a sort of medieval theme. It's not based on Excalibur. The last track maybe.
A great deal of their early stuff was either political or a metaphor fro drugs and the associated addiction.

It is about a prison island in the Caribbean. Very nasty place back it the day. I've been there. It was used for political posioners too. |

This site has not only all the lyrics, but the meaning of the song plus a quote by the band for most of the songs, though sadly, they don't have anything for TSHF, their last news post was in Jan 2004, before the album's release.
