I play left handed too, and I'm proud of it! Didn't let me vote on the poll for some reason, though. But yeah, it sucks being a lefty. Pretty much the only other left handed guitarist I know is my guitar teacher. Even the best guitar store in my area only has a few left handed guitars, and they're all crappy epiphones. And Gibson is too lame to make the beautiful flying V's left handed. No, only the faded version is available lefty, and I cant find one in a shop anywhere to try out. Ok, I'll end my rant here.

the one thing i HATE about being left handed is that ive NEVER tried a high quality guitar, best ive played is my dk2

im left handed when it comes to writing and shit like that, but im a right handed guitar player

for a few reasons:

1.) good CHEAP left handed guitars are hard to come by
2.) i felt more comfortable playing right handed
3.) right handed guitars look better! :P

If you read back through the thread, you will find a post by slabbefusk. This is were the dramatic change in topic seemingly affected the entire the thread. Then to second this catastrophe, kalmah made a reply to this post that seems to have done irreversible damage to the threads outcome. Now we are all doomed to suffer an existence of complete and utter wonder at what this thread COULD have done for us all.

one of my friends is left handed but plays a right hand and he says right handed guitars feel better than the left handed guitars. he is really good with the right handed guitar so its wierd, i dont know!

I babysit a left handed little 9 year old girl every so often....she's very artistic and whatnot...and whenever she picks up my guitars, she goes right handed.....so I asked her once to try the other way.....she said it felt odd and turned it back......I'm not sure if she was simply copying me or the knobs and switch messed with her......but she strums pretty well for a lil kid.

In baseball, I can hit with either hand. I make better contact left handed, but have no power. I make slightly worse contact hitting right handed with much more power. If I try to pitch left handed, I throw like a girl, and I'm not exaggerating.

There are also other strange things. For example, I usually catch snakes right-handed then grab them behind the head left-handed. Then I'd take a picture with my right hand. I always take pictures right handed.

I write and eat left handed.but i paint right handed(I think just because that was how I was taught) but i play guitar right handed.I used to want to switch when i first started just to be different,but i seemed to be faster righty then lefty.And when your just starting you need all the breaks you can get.Now looking back I'm glad that i stayed righty easier and cheaper to find good shit.But I too am ambidextrous when it come time to discipline the chimp.
