what is the answer?
Ok. this is probably a shit question, but how would i play something like this?

my understanding is that when you hammer on you're not supposed to pick any strings but suddenly theres another note playing?? 
on the tab (credence - Opeth) there is no legend so i am assuming this is a hammer on
(B.T.W i have seen this is other tabs, and it seems undecided, thats why im asking publicly) |

you dont have to use a pick for everything...use your fingernails to play each string separately, I'm sure thats how akerfeldt plays it anyway

who said anything about opeth? It's just better in general to pluck if you have kind of long nails...

You do know that its proper to play classical with your fingers and not a pick (PIMA), hence the reason Akerfeldt fingerpicks (since he does classical arrangements). I learned to play guitar without a pick, with long fingernails, thats the reason why mine are long (actually they're long on my right hand and short on my left, so I can finger chords). So, just so you know, just because someone wants to play a certain way doesn't mean they're being a copy cat.
If you break your nails use baking soda and white out and you can shape them however you want and it works great as false fingerpicking nails  |

Yep.....I can make some really wicked sounds using them......when using them to pick fast.....at times there's almost a doppler effect......wacky! |
