The End Of An Era: Gorguts Is No More
According to deathgrind.de, Luc Lemay has decided to end Gorguts.
This is the worst news I have heard in.......... fuck, since Chuck died.
My favourite band is no longer. I always had faith that oneday they would play together again, but it seems not......
I don't even know how I'm supposed to feel right now, but I will say this:
LUC LEMAY and Co, you guys were the sickest cunts in metal. Three of the most classic albums ever, and an incredible fourth one too. GORGUTS shall never be forgotten, and shall go down in the annals of Death Metal history.
LONG LIVE GORGUTS!

i just ammused they died when Mongrain was touring w/Martyr and then Cryptopsy. they fucking ruled though, and damn shame indeed.

Definetely a great band. Talent unlike no other. I followed them since the beginning..One of the most underated bands in the scene..
They won't be forgotten..

Is this news reliable? If so its the worst piece of news I've heard. I love that band.
There is nothing mentioned about this on their site. I hope its just a rumour. I really do.

A. This is more or less confirmation of old news. I heard this, unofficially, months ago, and considering I don't really follow Gorguts I'm surprised this took you guys without warning.
B. The other half of the unofficial news I heard months ago was that Lemay and the Gorguts bassist have been writing together in the Obscura vein, but didn't feel comfortable putting it out under the name Gorguts.
Even if this isn't true, he pulled the plug on a band, not his career as a musician. Anything Lemay writes is going to sound like he wrote it, so chill.

Dang man, I was just getting into them too...... Obscura was such a cool album. I guess I'm not as pissed off/sad about this as a lot of you are, but shit, they had talent and their music was excellent to boot.
