The new Origin album "Echoes of Decimation"
Ahh, this album is brutal and fast. And is it just me or are the sweeps on this album insane. I know Necrophagist has the sweeps down, but the new Origin is getting to be a contender for fast sweeps in brutal metal. Nine songs of brutality in under thirty minutes. Plus their new drummer is damn tight.

I dug III way more... Echoes is badass don't get me wrong, but Longstreth added so much to the band.

Definatly. Longstreth added EXCELLENT ride cymbal work and propelled the songs. The new guy, James King is still good though. I don't know what bands he may have been in before but I'd like to give them a listen. And again, SWEEP CITY. I need to practice more to get my sweeps down that tight (and semi-clean)

Hmm..... I shall purchase this album, methinks.
What about replay value though, I was obsessed with I.I.I. for like a week, listening to it again and again, then I haven't listened to it that much since. Do you think it's a bit like that?

Eh, if you didnt like III, then you probably won't dig this one. It's pretty much III, but a little more straight foward tech/grind.

I liked III, I liked it a lot. But it didn't rate highly on the "lastability" scale.
