Simon & Patrick/Seagull Acoustics

I'm looking to replace my old battered Squier acoustic with something a lot more substantial, what I'd like to know is, does anyone have any experience with Simon & Patrick/Seagull acoustics? They're made by Godin somewhere in Canada, and are fairly well-priced (around £350).

What about "wild cherry" wood for the back and sides? Is this wood commonly used, and how does it sound?

At the 'Long-McQuades' music shop in my town, they are over-flooded with them. If you're looking for a great priced acoustic, with an awesome finish and tone, a Seagull is the way to go. Godin is a somewhat new name, and I wouldn't be surprised to see the prices jack up in the coming years for this product, so get it while it's cheap.

Ah cool, finally Canadians are good for something!
Seagull's and Simon & Patrick are pretty much the same, apart from the difference in neck thickness, so yeah cool, I'll check out some of them.
