Muting other strings while tapping
how do you mute the other strings while tapping? I'm having a pretty hard time finding a good way to do it.

Mute kind with your wrist. Thats the best way I can explain it. Or do it with your fretting fingers if you can.
EDIT: Two hand tapping, or one hand?

let's say your doing "thunderstruck" by acca/dacca. this sounds hard but its not that hard. get the string you want to tap. mute all the strings above the one you want to tap with the side of your hand, no not a palm mute, keep it off instead of pressing down. use your pinky to mute the strings BELOW, with the correct placement you can get at least 2 strings muted with your pinky. then tap away!

When recording, we Use a trick that is used by satriani, etc. If you only use the first string, mute the rest of the strings with a handkerchief, and if yiou use two strings,mute the other strings, and so on.-
I think you can understand it. I do my best, but i can´t xplain it better. My poor english is the reason.

hey that's a pretty cool trick, I don't record anything thoug 'cause I don't have the equipment(sp?) or anything, but it'll maybe help in the long run

I allways mute them with either the palm of my hand, using my middle and pointer finger for tapping.
