I really don't understand this... How many people live in Tx? A rough approximate would be 250 / 50 = 5 million (assuming the US population is 250 million obviously). Now I believe that Tx is one of more densly populated states, so bump that up 4 times (to give you a better chance), to 20 million. Are we getting closer? Maybe not, I dunno (that's not really the point). Then lets assume only 1/4 of the worlds population has internet access. Assuming that texans are as likely as any other group of people to listen to metal and play bass, there'll be 4 texans in every 300 members we have. And we have like ?? 300 somewhat active members? And then consider the balance between guitarists and bassists and drummers and vocalists. You should by now have realised that your chances of finding someone here are pretty damn slim.
Think before you post.
(And the above math is only there to help prove my point. I'm probably pretty far off on some of those numbers)
[Edit]
Did some quick googling. Turns out I'm slightly below real numbers, but pretty close (22 million in Tx, 290 in the US).
[Edit2]
Turns out 500 people have been online simultaneously, so my guess was quite a bit below the real number there.
