I would like to use this FTP but I use a routed home network and a dynamic IP so my IP is never the same. Is there any way to over come this? I ULed and organized a ton of stuff on Nilly's FTP before and I would love to share once again. Is there anyway you might be willing to disable the IP filter so that I may use this FTP?

It's good to see everyone wanting to trade. I've been dying for some new music for sure. Download what you want, I'm glad to have what people are interested in, but uploading makes the world go round so try to do more than a .50 upload to download ratio. Why doesn't some others start some servers, and let's start a good trading neighborhood. I can see alot of you have some stuff really sought after. Here's a FAQ for common troubleshooting.

Q: I can connect, but can't list your directories
A: in your ftp client, goto the preferences, toggle passive mode either off or on.

Q: My ip is 192.168.1.1 - 192.168.255.255
A: If your ip addres starts with 192.168, it's not your outside ip, that is a local ip address for your local network, your router assigns those, goto www.whatismyip.com for your real ip address.

Q: Need a ftp client (program to connect to me)
A: I recommend FlashFXP (www.flashfxp.com) easy to use, state of the art

Q: What is my IP?
A: I have used a program to link my ip address to a url address thus being brutalmetal.servebeer.com

Soulinsane: I cannot disable my firewall, it keeps my network ticking...but if you have a dynamic IP (assuming your on dsl, cable is static), I can set ip ranges, most dynamic IPs stay within a block of IPs.

blizzard_beast: If you didn't get a "max # of users" error, it's most likely a firewall on your end, or the passive mode toggle.

I'm sure there's always gonna be the risk of getting caught, cause anything you transfer, your isp can tell. Your less likely to cause ftp run defaulty on port 21, and ftp is a common and extensively used protocol so ISPs expect port 21 to be used oten. I should prob start cycling ports soon. For the most part it's pretty safe.

Tattered, the problem with MSN is that you have to send songs individualy, while on AIM you can send whole albums. Much better.

on msn you can zip folders if you really want to send it but aim is better for transfers

Yes! I don't know why the audio_ts folder is always empty, but it does that with all concert dvd's and video dvd's. I should have specified. :O The file is 2.76 GB on my hard drive, is it the same size on there?

The small death video is an incomplete version of the larger (800+mb one) , I lost my connection and I guess the little bit that uploaded stayed there :/

1. If you had read the thred BB you would know the answers to all your questions, especially when the answer was 2 posts above yours.

2. Not directly at you BB, but to anyone. WMA files are stupid. Do not rip music with Windows media Player. Go here: http://www.imtoo.com/cd-ripper.html download the CD ripper, then take a look on the FTP for a file with a name like ImToo cd ripper [in about 20 minutes].

Make sure to set it up so the files are riped in 192kbps too.
