GOJIRA
Holy fuck, A friend of mine told me about them, and they are worth a listen.

It has recently been brought to my attention how much arse this band kicks. They only have one release (as far as I can tell) which has just been re-released. If you like your thrash hard, angular and thoroughly unpleasant, you will want to make babies with this band.

It just has a white box, tan background, and at the bottom it says "from(email)to(email) SEND" with little boxes for entering email adresses.

Gojira is THE french metal band of the moment.
They work a lot and their three records are quite good.
The evolution is constant so you should not get bored while listening them ; except if you dont like drummer Mario's feet triggering his bassdrum 800 times a minute.

Haha, well global warming is a fact man, not just liberals pulling crap out of their ass.
Amazing band, recently got into them. From Mars to Serious is straight up death metal with weirdass pseudo-industrial vibes, and indeed plenty Morbid Angel influence(but what band doesn't have MA influence really?)

They actually get headbanger's ball play. It's hard to imagine that fiasco pushes any band that's worth a shit, but they actually do with this band.

Global warming has as much or greater a chance of being caused by earth cycles as it does our own doing. Man tends to think of himself as this all-powerful being that can do anything, "hey in the event of a collision with an asteroid, we should be prepared so we can stop it" .

I really like Gojira. I like how they remind me of massive cosmic-scale things when I listen to them. They also have lots of interesting ideas.
I also really like their concerns for the world and stuff. I hear it in the grand scale of the music. Really like Gojira.

Absolutely huge sounding band. I dig them because of their willingness to experiment with anything and because they really don't sound or feel like anyone else. Any band that individualistic gets my praise.

Sorry, but wrong. The biggest contributor to global warming is greenhouse gas emissions, which are produced in vastly overwhelming majority by human activity. This is a fact. The earth's atmosphere is very thin in comparison to the earth's solid/liquid mass, it is extremely easy for mankind to alter its composition especially when the greatest amount of electrical energy we consume comes from activities that produce greenhouse gases(nope, not waterfalls or wind power), and the vast majority of people in developed countries own cars and use them -in many cases- irresponsibly and unnecessarily.
It is true that the earth's natural cycles can cause periodic increments in world climate, but not even half at the rate as it has been occuring the past 2 centuries. The accelerated gradual increase in global temperature is related to the massive increment in greenhouse gases which is directly related to the start of the industrial revolution.
Caring about the environment isn't a tree-hugging hippy liberal manifesto anymore, we are fucking it up too much beyond our ability to fix it, it's a very serious issue. "It's easier to break something than make a new one"....
(btw I'm an environmental chemistry student, and am particularly thrilled with their lyrics. )

Oh and +1 definitely. They're very refreshing, it always kicks my ass to find bands that can create brand new sounds and still be considered death metal, proves that the genre has plenty of juice left, its just that most bands are running out of creativity these days because they resort to the old riffs we heard 15 years ago.

YES! Again, loving the postage, Soeru. Plus fucking one.
I like them because I hear an eye for the world in their music. I also love their sense of melody. Felt, spacious melodies and not doing-these-notes-because-it-sounds-nice/cute crap like metalcore and emo gangs, apart from the fact 'melody' does not mean sounding emotional or pleasing to the ears. Off-topic example: the first riff in the song I, Monarch by Hate Eternal is highly melodic.

Ok, based on what "facts". I'm not trying to say that helping the evironment is at all an idiot move, in fact it's very noble, but come on. We are not shit, compared to the earth. Are you not aware that Greenland was at one time in fact green, and the canals in Venice were actually frozen?

Our physical size doesn't matter for fuck's sake, if we all farted at the same time the earth's atmosphere wouldn't change shit, but look at the size of the energy facilities and industries that mankind has built and the sheer amount of them. We CAN change the content of the atmosphere far faster than the rate at which the planet can purge itself. It's not a matter of opinion if we're big enough to physically alter the earth, it is a world-renown fact.

It could be a cycle change, undoubtedly. I don't doubt that our industries and aquanet etc. have some effect, but I believe this is a planet cycle. To deny this as a possibility is complete liberal ignorance. Just like liberals would condemn me for my thoughts on the matter.

Did you read my first reply? It most certainly is a natural temporary cycle, but in no way can it occur naturally at the rate that it has been occuring for the past 2 centuries! It is proven that it is caused in VAST MAJORITY by greenhouse gas emissions. What's the no. 1 greenhouse gas emitter? We are. No, not volcanic eruptions.
Any authoratative sources that claim that global warming is not affected by human activity is 100% fabricated by research institutions(I can give you a list) that receive funding from Exxon Mobil and a few other big-name oil and energy corporations.

Environmental research scientists all around the world have known about this before anybody even knew who Al Gore was. Please don't bring up the retarded arguement that global warming is a liberal-fabricated overstatement/sham, it's widely accepted by all politically neutral scientists(the only scientists worth half a shit).
It's not a matter of opinion for fuck's sake, it's the real deal, no political agenda behind it and any claims to the opposite are downright bullshit.
Read absolutely all of this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greenhouse_gas
And read the EPA site I posted in particular.
Edit: Oh, and here's a timeline of the contents of the earth's atmosphere over the past few centuries:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:..._and_Flux-2.png
The small peaks are the earth's natural cycles in temperature, but it always reverts to normal, but look beyond the 18th century and this does not happen at all.
And if you still disagree, then watch out! Those liberals are out to getcha! You'll probably drown from an unexpected massive increase in sea level if you live near a coast or die in some unusual hurricane before that ever happens though.

I just watched their "Sirius" or whatever video on youtube and I must say, I liked it alot better a couple months ago when I was wasted watching Headbanger's Ball. Of course that DOES make some sense, considering that anything remotely decent sounds good on that stupid-ass program.

Someone said they got featured/got to host HB too? That's awesome. Interesting to see them pushing a non-metalcore band.
I see nothing wrong with the vocals, it's a unique attempt, and I actually quite like them. I'll take em over most Frank Mullen impersonators.
