From the top of my head, that would be Erik Sayenga? Used to play in Witch-Hunt. Didn't know he left -- if he did, don't know what he is doing.

He didnt leave, he just couldnt do the last tour.
Kevin Talley was better.

I saw when he played with dying fetus. He isnt all thet great. He had some solid double bass but nothing he did during warmup was overly impressive.

Yeah, Dave from Psycroptic was telling me he is very sloppy live?
low-tech: Ex-Dying Fetus members are in that band.

Jason Netherton and Sparkey are in Misery Index I believe. I just saw Dying Fetus with Nile on Wednesday and even though I don't own any of their albums I was reasonably impressed by them.

I think I like Dying Fetus more than Nile (more tempo changes are better, in my opinion)

Yes he is. Even in Origin, the stuff he did wasnt what so many people made it out to be. Yes, gravity blasts are hard to master, and the cymbal stuff he was doing wa svery unique, but all that shit isnt that hard when you have *gasp* pro-tools. He also has an incredible ego about his playing.
I'll say it again, teh most recent drumer for Dying Fetus is still in the band, he just couldnt do the most recent tour.
Kevin Talley was in Misery Index for the Overthrow ep and the first two splits. He left before Retaliate and then joined again for the Dissent ep and left to join Chimera. Yes, Chimera(sp?) the nu-metal band.

i saw misery index at a small venue around 2 years ago, the drummer i saw was good but he was a tapper, no volume at all, being quiet is one of the worst things that can happen to a live show, kills the whole set for me

That was the guy who recorded Retaliate, Matt Bryes i tihnk his name is. He doesnt hit very hard but when I saw them live, the sound guy had him set up real nice and it sounded great. His drumming is top notch, minus the whole quiet part.

Amen to that. You don't have to brutalise the fucking things to get a good sound out of them anyway. You know who hits the drums stupidly hard, but is still a big fagatronic colon muncher when it comes to really playing them? The Manowar guy.

Isn't Kevin Talley in Decrepit Birth now? I saw him in Cloaca's videos and I don't know he joined before or after Tim Yueng. (sp?)

Correct. KC is also behind the kit for a band called Odious Mortem, I reckon they're probably even better than Decrepit Birth, but I'm still in that "obsessed with new album" phase. Kevin Talley was never in DB.

He wasn't? I could have swore I read it at their website.

Dying Fetus are pretty good. its hard to say which I like better though. I mean, Nile did "Unas." Ok, back on topic.
I didn't think they had changed drummers, and the title of the thread confused the shit out of me.

1. To me, they are nu-metal, I'm not getting into a genre argument, so shut up.
2. Don't insult me just because *gasp* I called a band you listened to nu-metal. Be a big boy and deal with it. I saw them live when they opened for Slayer in 99' they were nu-metal as fuck. And from what i've heard of the newer stuff, they are still are. Oh yeah, lets do that thing called staying on topic.
Anyway, Kevin Talley only recored drums for the Decrepit Birth DEMO. Tim Yuegn(sp?) did drums for the album and now that KC guy is the new full time drummer.
And I must say again Matt from Misery Index is amazing. I love that part in "History is Rotten" when he just gets to insane speeds with the double bass and that awesome roll with cymabl hits inbetween. He is right up there with Talley interms of writing drums parts that are truly catchy and really add so much to the music because of how the work with the riffs.
