basically i want as much fact as i can get on these 2 types of kits, actually just the tama starclassic maple and whatever the equivalent or closest equivialent, im getting a 9 piece ( 2 kicks 2 floor and 4 rack ), i need advice on a snare though. i like a nice crisp attacking snare sharp etc etc.

I play exports but if you want the one up go for a Pearl Master works, I think it is better than Tama, as for snare I am getting myself a pearl 14" piccolo with custome black hardware, just gotta wait for the shipment to arrive.
but what Derek has said: when you get into the top tier of drum kits, there is no difference in quality, only they just sound different from each other.

Go for the Pearl Masters. The maple sounds much warmer in Pearl than Tama...then again, I play jazz drums...

Ok well ignoring the immaturity here I will put my oppinions in here. I think Tama has better hardware but the shells themselfs are all good, just depends on the sound you wan't.
