Double Bass Pedal Setup
Over the past month I've been experimenting with several different pedal positions and tensions trying to find something more comfortable and natural. Nothing seemed to cut it until I came up with the bright idea to move the left pedal to the left side of my hi-hat and move the hi-hat where the bass drum pedal goes. The results were amazing.
1. It Increases my speed by 10 bpms
2. I can maintain my maximum speed much longer.
3. The closer hi-hat allows me to do more fluent grooves as though I didn't have a double pedal.
Have any of you tried this before or are doing it now? If so, what do think about it?

I agree that two bass drums has many advantages over a double pedal, but I only have a small car and I can't fit a second bass drum on gigs.

Im getting a double bass kit in june too so i will find out then. I dont realy want to try that pedal setup becuase im afraid i will like it. And i most likely wont be able to set my pedals up like that with 2 bass drums.
